Walk the Walk is committed to raising money and awareness for vital breast cancer causes. As a grant making charity, we only exist through the fundraising efforts of our walkers, volunteers and all of their fabulous friends, family and colleagues who donate to them. With 437,000 participants to date, we’ve raised over $158,000,000 and have contributed to better treatment and understanding of this disease.
Our goal for The MoonWalk New York City 2015 is to make a significant grant to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Breast Examination Center of Harlem, where over 80% of the patients are uninsured. We want to work towards ensuring that every breast cancer patient – regardless of where she or he lives or works or was born – has the access to highly-skilled, empathetic breast cancer care and medicine to achieve the best outcome, no matter their circumstances.
With all Walk the Walk challenges, we ask that each of our walkers raise a minimum donation of $150.00. This amount is fairly low so that it is attainable for everybody. Of course, walkers are always encouraged to go above and beyond to help the cause! It is only when we all unite together that we can reach our goals and make a significant difference to the lives of those who have been affected by breast cancer.
While all charities incur unavoidable costs, at Walk the Walk we work hard to make ours as low as possible. Each year we aim to keep a fantastic 80% of our fundraising available for grants and hope to keep the charity expenses within just 20%.

Step 2: Submit the form back to HR to send us, or send through your workplace intranet.
